Matchless ever!!

With the all purpose studio quality v2 enhancement turned on under sound effects I dont think Ive heard any other music player produce better sound quality. For that alone its worth the purchase. Sonic max pro is the only other player on ios which comes close. I personally dont love the layout but its functional and sound quality is top notch. Plays flacs as well which is a huge plus. Recommended for audiophiles.

Crashing is now down to a very minimum, but I still sometimes have one. One minor problem too- I have a pair of Bose Headphones that have a set of buttons that pause and play music. If I pause my music, wait atleast 8 seconds, then play- it changes the song. Other than that- superb! Keep on going Capriccio!!

Excellent music player for OGG, FLAC, etc. Downloadable effects and filters. The Default UI is okay (love the waterfall EQ visuals) but seriously guys stop trying to reinvent the wheel with the experimental UI. Go with the basics that everyone else uses and you got yourselves a hit. Highly recommended.

Good app. However it loses 2 stars for crashing and no ability to contact support to report bugs. Still worth the $1 as it does its job well.

Words cant describe how much I love this app. Before I had to put my MP3s and FLACs is separate apps which was SOOOOO annoying. I love iPhone, but its stressful dealing with iTunes. Music is such a huge part of my life and listening too it shouldnt be a hassle. This app bringing drag and drop to iOS has made my life so much easier. Thank You!

Great job from my brother "cap"

I’m really impressed with this app! Without going into detail, its user friendly, plays FLAC files and other formats as well. I dig that you can download eq’s from other users and save them. Even though I have my iPhone 6 with iOS 8.1, Capriccio is buggy. My sincere hope would be that the developers can fix the numerous issues it has. I’m giving it 4 stars. Hoping the next update will fix the bugs!!! Great work Capriccio!

I have yet to get the thing to play a song. I have tried on 2 devices and have done all the updates. It just wont play anything. Crashes non-stop. Inexplicably, their website doesnt work. It is without a doubt the worst app I ever bought. Dont believe the fake reviews, its a pure scam.

Crashed and didnt work in iOS8

This app is a real life saver. If you have ogg files that you want to play, or if you are on a Linux machine you need to get this. The Wi-Fi server features are really great. Better than using a general purpose ftp setup for quick uploads to your device.

When you copy and paste files / folders into the shared folder, Windows Explorer may report the following error: "An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem. Error 0x80070780: The file cannot be accessed by the system." The reason is Windows Explorer takes two steps to copy a file: (1) Create an empty file with the same name; (2) Write data to the empty file. Since the share permission is Add / Upload, the second step will fail.

This version is not good as old ver.

It has a LOT of great features. The only real problem Ive found is when using "random" tracks setting. It will not play through the entire folder or playlist before repeating tracks. Hopefully the next update will fix this.

I would be happier if I can see player technical characteristics something like (Flac-24bit..etc) And I really like lyrics function and iPod library and Fade. Please fix remaining bugs and etc. P.S. It may be best audio player on the App Store.

Overall good app. Filing system much better than competing apps. New UI allows you to see all files, including unsupported ones, but fails to open jpg and other image files. Once that is fixed, I would always use the new UI and the fifth star will be well deserved.

REVIEW UPDATE FOLLOWS ★★★☆☆ -A simple interface, which is greatly preferable to the Album view nonsense in landscape mode with the standard Apple Music app. I really appreciate the large buttons on the basic screen that are easy to use, even while driving. -I like that you can lock orientation w/o changing it for the whole phone. -The ability to mark A-B loops and speed and pitch control make this invaluable for me. -The documentation is not existent. If (like me) you struggle to find the special features I mentioned above, heres how to access them. Tap the screen once, lyrics will come up if available, then swipe to the other screen to access the controls. I dont understand why app makers dont make a list of all the gestures needed to run the app. -I get it this app is for people trying to bypass iTunes as the media manager; however, why are nested playlists not listed that way? Very inconvenient. -I think there are better apps for audiobooks, the one called "Audiobooks" is simple and useful, and if you go back and forth between books and music the way I do, its much easier to change apps rather than change playlists (especially while driving). EDITED 5/30/15 The app has been updated, and now crashes frequently. Sometimes when you slide the screen via the title bar it gets stuck half off the screen and you can only unstick it by closing and rebooting the app (when its stuck you cant access the special features). And I dont know what the hell the "New UI Mode" is supposed to be. It mostly doesnt work and I dont see how to access the features I really need (A-B loops, and change speed). Oh well, it was good for a while. Still better than the default iTunes music app.

I really want to like this app. With an older version, I was able to connect to DropBox and play FLAC files stored there. I cannot find how to do that in the new version, the developer website is not functioning, and I cant find an app manual anywhere. I bought this for the DropBox connectivity. Without that, Capriccio is essentially useless for me.

This is really user friendly mp3 player!!
